Class Schedule & location
Our adult classes are held in our studio at Way of Action. But always check with us as we may move our Saturday class to the park if there is nice and mild weather. You can contact us at info@capoeiravida.com to get up-to-date class location information.
When we do move classes to Prospect Park, we are located along the esplanade just north of the Le Frak Center, close to the Abraham Lincoln Statue.
CLASS SCHEDULE
MONDAYS 6 pm – 7:30 pm
WEDNESDAYS 6 pm – 7:30 pm
SATURDAYS 11 am – 12:30 pm (check location)
structure
Our adult classes are 1.5 hours long. They begin with stretching, warm-up and strengthening exercises—which is why it is very important to arrive on time for class and avoid injuries. The training portion of the class focuses on repetition of Capoeira movements to build strength, form and the endurance for the art. Classes end with a roda (Capoeira circle). Portuguese language practice is an important aspect of class; we learn numbers, movements, songs and basic vocabulary while we train.
Adult Pricing
Drop in: $35
1 Month Unlimited Classes: $180 (must be used within 1 month)
10-Week Absolute Beginners Series (Starting 1/14/24): $300 you have a uniform, $380 if you need a uniform

CLASS PURCHASE POLICIES
All class purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable. Class passes are valid for 1 month from the first day used and any classes not used within the validity period are lost. We offer a one-time per year opportunity to freeze your monthly class purchase due to an injury that keeps you from being able to train. Please inform us in writing of your injury and the remainder of the month will be pro-rated and applied as a credit to your following month of participation. No extensions will be made for travel, sickness, etc. Please check your schedule before making a class purchase.
UNIFORMS
Indoor Classes: Uniforms are required for all on-going participants and consist of abada/pants, cord, and a CapoeiraVida t-shirt. All classes are taken without shoes or socks. Long hair should be tied back, and jewelry must be taken off. T-shirts and sweatshirts are available for purchase at CapoeiraVida. Please contact us at info@capoeiravida.com with your specific request and we can have it ready for you at the next class.
Outdoor Classes: Please come to class wearing comfortable pants or shorts, sneakers along with a CapoeiraVida t-shirt. Long hair should be tied back, and jewelry must be taken off. T-shirts and sweatshirts are available for purchase at CapoeiraVida. Please contact us at info@capoeiravida.com with your specific request and we can have it ready for you at the next class.
FAMILY DISCOUNT
For families with multiple children/adults enrolled in classes, when one child/adult enrolls at regular price, siblings/parents will receive a 10% discount.
